This summit, regarded as a cornerstone for regional energy dialogue, will assemble approximately 1,500 industry leaders to tackle critical issues transforming Asia’s energy sector. Topics on the agenda reflect the intricate currents shaping the global and regional markets, including crude supply disruptions, maritime logistics, the resurgence of upstream oil and gas, downstream resilience, biofuels development, and the role of artificial intelligence and digital innovations.

Historically, APPEC has served as a barometer during periods of industry transition, offering strategic insights through dense phases of change. This year, it arrives at a pivotal moment as the markets for oil and natural gas rapidly recalibrate. Disruptions along trade corridors, volatile trade patterns, and an urgent need for enhanced energy security are poised to dominate discussions.

The conference will be opened by Singapore's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Trade and Industry, Ms. Gan Siow Huang. Over 180 speakers are scheduled, including experts from S&P Global Energy, who will cover the full spectrum from oil and gas to chemicals, biofuels, and maritime logistics.

Company representatives emphasize that the discussion venues are more relevant than ever. The President of S&P Global Energy, Dave Ernsberger, underlined that recent physical realities, rather than abstract risks, now shape the trade map, making the exchanges at APPEC critical for understanding current and future market trends.

Programmatically, the conference splits into seven streams targeting essential areas:

  • Oil Markets, focusing on Asia's changing crude supply sources and the global trade balance.
  • Energy Security, with emphasis on LNG supply options and resilience strategies for import-dependent economies.
  • Shipping & Bunker, analyzing maritime trade flows, freight economics, and transition in marine fuel use.
  • Trading, addressing how to navigate price volatility and develop innovative procurement strategies.
  • AI & Digitalisation, considering automation and digital shipping infrastructure.
  • Chemicals, examining market shifts, feedstock pricing, and industry updates.
  • Biofuels, especially sustainable aviation fuels, supply chains, and policy challenges.

AS the industry confronts ongoing economic pressures and shifting supply chains, APPEC 2026 aims to foster vital dialogue, guiding stakeholders on resilience and adaptation strategies. The summit’s emphasis on knowledge exchange and strategic cooperation underscores its importance for shaping the region’s energy future amid uncertainty.
